In 2003 I went to Washington, DC, accompanying Ellison on a business trip, with the sole purpose of going to the National Zoo to see the pygmy hippo. Sadly, that morning the pygmy hippo was found dead in her enclosure. A whole section of the zoo was shut down, because they had to take the roof off the building and bring in a special crane hoist to get her 600 pound body out. It was a very, very sad day for the Woolverine.
So this video of the new pygmy hippo at the Hampshire, England zoo, who was born on November 13th but just went out on exhibit, had special meaning for me. Look how cute!
