Forest Finds

With such a wet spring/summer it’s no surprise that fungus abounds in the woods. But with 2 whole days without rain (don’t worry, raining again today) I took every opportunity to get outside, even spotting an otter “sunning” on a rock in the middle of a foggy lake.

    (or maybe it’s the Reluctant Third Party Beetle, I can’t tell.)

    • Definitively the voyeur beetle. That’s what made me take the photos – as soon as the two at the bottom started getting busy, the one at the top scooted on down and stood there either watching or waiting for a turn!
