Loose Ends

I’ve had a few projects in the knitting queue for far too long, and it’s been getting me down. But I finally finished this lovely scarf for mom, just in time for a visit.

It’s the scarf version of the Swirl Shawl in Crystal Palace Panda Silk, a bamboo/merino/silk blend with lovely drape. I’ve been working on this for what seems like forever, so I’m totally relieved I finally finished it. And finished Erock’s mitts, another project that’s been clogging up my queue since early spring. And I finished socks I’m testing for a pattern designer. I’m ready to get back to the Year of Selfish Knitting, and have a couple of summer projects I’m still hoping to bang out before the weather turns…we’ll see!

  1. That is beautiful!

    Does she love it?

(how long did it take to weave in all of the ends?)

    • Thank you! Yes, she loves it. But weaving in almost 100 ends – yikes. I’m glad I did it, I’m glad I went with the scarf and not the shawl, and I don’t think I’ll be working on something so modular again for quite a while!
