You should be listening to Black Dub. It’s the new project of incredible producer Daniel Lanois, best know to some for his work with Brian Eno in the ’70s, and to some as the producer of U2’s Joshua Tree, which was a seminal album for me. He’s also the producer of Neil Young’s new, and amazing, album. But Trixie Whitley’s vocals transport this album somewhere unbelievable. I listened to this album my whole 4 hour flight home from Vegas, and each time through, found some new hook or sample or riff to catch my interest. So check it out. That is all.
