Mudding Along

Seems spring has tentatively sprung here. While others in the northeast are finding themselves snowed in, here we’ve got rain that smells distinctly like spring.

No snow in the backyard for the first time since Christmas.

We went for a hike at our favorite Audubon refuge this weekend – still lots of snow, and ice, on the ground there, and the pond is still frozen over, but it was lovely to get outside with a warm breeze.

And now, just keeping my head down, getting my work done, counting down the days until vacation.
