I Clearly Missed My Calling.

I don’t mean to talk poorly about people’s art; there are plenty of sites that do that already. But I saw this piece of art in a restaurant gallery yesterday, and couldn’t resist taking its picture. I take a lot of flack for picking up random pieces of driftwood, feathers, etc., but this this is for sale for more than I bring home in a week at my day job, and I think I could make it from stuff I found in my car.

Giving Thanks….

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and the only holiday I spend with my family-of-origin, but as all family events are it can be fraught with tensions. So if you’re freaking out about your own meal, or the company you’re keeping, or you otherwise just need a laugh, surf on over to the Countdown to Thanksgiving on Craftastrophe, and give thanks that none of these things will appear in your holiday decor.

Frightening stuffed turkey

From the creator's message: All handmade this is the largest piece and is cut from my imagination and never a pattern, a hanging turkey of heavy weight muslin. Hand painted detials (sic) and full stuffed feather, give him a lovely primitive country look and feel.

One Great Thing About Pittsburgh

This pink triceratops with a dollar in its back. I don’t know what it’s for or what it means, but I love it.
